Overview
LGND Sol™ Diffusion Chamber is a replacement acrylic diffusion chamber designed specifically for use with the LGND Sol™ Diffuser CO2 Replacement Ceramic. Manufactured from crystal-clear PMMA acrylic, the chamber serves as both a high-efficiency diffusion housing and an integrated bubble counter, creating a compact and elegant solution for precise CO2 delivery in planted aquariums.
The chamber works in conjunction with the LGND Sol™ Diffuser CO2 Replacement Ceramic to produce an ultra-fine cloud of carbon dioxide microbubbles. As CO2 passes through the high-density ceramic membrane, it is broken into thousands of microscopic bubbles that dissolve rapidly into the aquarium water. The transparent chamber allows aquarists to observe bubble production and monitor diffuser performance while maintaining a clean, unobtrusive appearance within the aquarium.
The precision-machined PMMA construction offers excellent optical clarity and long-term durability while resisting discoloration and degradation under normal aquarium conditions. The integrated design combines diffusion and bubble counting functionality into a single compact unit, reducing equipment clutter and simplifying installation.
Suitable for both beginner and advanced aquascaping systems, the LGND Sol™ Diffusion Chamber provides an effective and visually discreet method of monitoring and diffusing carbon dioxide for healthy aquatic plant growth.
Directions
Before installation, ensure that the LGND Sol™ Diffuser CO2 Replacement Ceramic has been properly conditioned by soaking it in water for one to two days. This process allows the microscopic pores within the ceramic membrane to become fully saturated and ensures optimal atomization performance.
Unscrew the chamber cap and fill the lower chamber with clean water. This water-filled section will function as the integrated bubble counter during operation. Position the ceramic disc together with its silicone gasket inside the chamber assembly and tighten the cap securely to create a reliable pressure seal.
Connect the diffuser to a compatible pressurized CO2 system using standard 4/6 mm tubing. Place the assembled unit inside the aquarium in an area with moderate water circulation to ensure efficient distribution of dissolved carbon dioxide.
During the initial hours of operation, larger bubbles may be visible while the ceramic membrane completes its saturation process. Regular cleaning and maintenance are recommended to preserve optimal diffusion performance and maintain crystal-clear visibility of the bubble counter chamber.

FAQ
What is the purpose of the diffusion chamber?
The diffusion chamber houses the ceramic membrane and provides the environment necessary for efficient CO2 atomization. It also serves as an integrated bubble counter when filled with water.
Does the chamber include the ceramic diffuser?
The chamber is designed to be used together with the LGND Sol™ Diffuser CO2 Replacement Ceramic. The complete diffusion system requires both components for operation.
Why is the chamber filled with water?
When filled with water, the lower chamber allows individual CO2 bubbles to be counted as they pass through the diffuser, providing a convenient method of monitoring injection rates.
Why is PMMA acrylic used?
PMMA acrylic offers excellent transparency, durability, and resistance to discoloration. Its optical clarity allows easy observation of bubble production and diffuser performance.
Why are larger bubbles visible during initial operation?
The ceramic membrane must become fully saturated before producing optimal microbubble atomization. Larger bubbles may occur temporarily until all microscopic pores are fully wetted.
Is the chamber suitable for all aquarium sizes?
The chamber may be used in a wide range of aquarium systems. Overall suitability depends primarily on the diffuser ceramic size and the CO2 requirements of the aquarium.
Safety
For aquarium use only. Keep out of reach of children. Use only with compatible pressurized CO2 systems and approved diffuser components. Improper installation may result in gas leakage or reduced diffuser performance.
Inspect the chamber regularly for cracks, damage, or excessive wear. Do not use damaged components, as they may fail under operating pressure. Ensure that the ceramic disc and silicone gasket are installed correctly before introducing CO2 pressure.
Always depressurize the CO2 system before disassembling the chamber for maintenance or cleaning. When cleaning the chamber, avoid abrasive materials, solvents, or harsh chemicals that may damage the acrylic surface. Thoroughly rinse all components before returning them to service.
Monitor aquarium livestock whenever CO2 levels are adjusted. Excessive carbon dioxide concentrations may be harmful to fish, shrimp, and other aquatic organisms. Always increase CO2 gradually and verify levels using appropriate monitoring equipment.
