LGND Sapphire™ Glass Check Valve is a compact one-way non-return valve designed for aquarium CO₂ and air-line systems.
When system pressure falls or stops, the internal valve closes automatically, helping prevent aquarium water from siphoning backwards into the CO₂ regulator, solenoid valve, cylinder or air pump. Its transparent glass body and sapphire-blue internal mechanism provide a clean, discreet appearance while allowing easy visual inspection.
Suitable for planted aquariums, CO₂ injection systems and conventional aquarium air pumps.
Material: Glass | Colour: Transparent with sapphire-blue internal valve | Dimensions: 10.5 × 1.2 × 1.2 cm
Rinse the glass check valve with warm water before installation. Attach compatible 6 mm (1/4") standard airline tubing or 4/6 mm CO₂ tubing to both ends of the valve.
To attach tubing to the glass connections, wet the inside of the tubing with water and carefully slide it over the glass. The use of other lubricants is not recommended, as these may cause the tubing to slide off too easily.
Install the check valve upright and inline with the tubing outside the aquarium. CO₂ or air should enter through the lower connection and exit through the upper connection towards the bubble counter, diffuser or air stone, as shown in the diagram.
When removing the tubing, never pull or twist it directly from the glass. Instead, carefully cut the tubing lengthwise along the attachment point to release the glass connection and avoid breakage.
Once securely installed, turn on the CO₂ supply or air pump. Confirm that gas is flowing in the correct direction and check that all connections are secure.
