SunSun Xiaoli XBL-500 is a compact hybrid filtration system that combines the large media capacity typically found in external canister filters with the convenience and simplicity of a hang-on-back design. Developed for freshwater aquariums, planted aquascapes, shrimp aquariums, and nano fish tanks, the XBL-500 provides efficient mechanical, biological, and optional chemical filtration while maintaining a small footprint outside the aquarium.
Unlike conventional hang-on filters that offer limited media volume, the XBL-500 features a deep filtration chamber capable of housing multiple layers of filter media. This allows aquarists to customize the filtration process according to the needs of their aquarium while promoting the growth of beneficial nitrifying bacteria responsible for maintaining biological stability.
